Twilight Breaking Dawn part 2 – Film review

Twilight breaking dawn part 2 is one part of the The Twilight Saga. There have been former sagas, called: Twilight (2008), New Moon (2009), Eclipse (2010) and Breaking Dawn (2011). All of the sagas are based on the novels by the American author Stephenie Meyer, who has gained the worlds stardom with The Twilight Sagas translations into 37 different languages. The Twilight Sagas are romance fantasy films, which includes also a bit action and adventure. Leading actors of the film are Kristen Stewart (who acts Bella Swan), Robert Pattinson ( who acts Edward Cullen) and Taylor Lautner ( who acts Jacob Black). The last part, Breaking Dawn part 2 had its premiere in November 2012 when it also achieved a great success.

The plot of the film is slightly simple minded, yet in this part it is the most surprising and has some unexpected twists. The movie starts of the situation that Bella has turned into vampire since the childbirth. Now they have a beautiful baby with Edward, but the situation is very complicated because Jacob has become marked to Bellas daughter Renesmee and the situation doesn’t ease off while clan of the Volturi is coming for the Cullens in order to kill them for the huge crime they did, because of they believe that they have done immortal child on purpose, even that’s not true. There is enormous battlefield between the Volturi and the other vampires, but how does it end up? That you can find out by watching the movie.

I have seen all of the Twilight Sagas and even I have heard a lot of opinions that it’s ridiculous and so on, I still think that it is quite fine collection of movies, which are particularly suitable for teenagers. I was amazed of this part, for it was so much better illustrated, scenes were more believable and for all that the role performances were also very successful. Of course there were some scenes, where for example the moves were a bit implausible but mainly I enjoyed of watching the movie. Especially I would like to recommend the movie for prejudiced people and in my opinion it is most suitable for women but men should also watch the movie before to judge it.

Tower Heist

I selected movie Tower Heist. It is crime comedy film. It was released on 2011 and it have been very famous. So it’s genre is crime comedy and i think it is very good movie. In the movie is so much good jokes and funny footages. It must be good comedy because there are Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy acting in leading roles.

Ben Stiller is named Josh Kovaks. He’s character is kind hotel workman and he is best in his job. But he turns to criminal because of ”evil” rich man. Eddie Murphy is named Slide. He is little thief who robs for instance balcony stuff. Josh needs his help for the big gig and Slide accepts it. Films evil man is Arthur Shaw , real name is Alan Alda. Arthur steals his clients money and is very rich. Of course , in happy ending he must go to jail and everyone gets his money back. In other sight roles are for instance hotel workers and pedestrians. Important sight roles are Casey Affleck as Charlie , Matthew Broderick as Mr.Fitzhugh and Tea Leoni as Claire.

In this movie are almost none special effects. There are no big explosions or something like that , and that’s one reason why I like this movie. This film works fine without big explosions or car crashes. It’s good comedy and totally no action comedy.

Filming have started on November 2010. The whole movie is filmed in New York and it’s budget is about 85 million dollars. For the producer it was hard to find good hotel which fits in this movie , but eventually he got luckied. They wanted to have art or something on the walls that shows people how rich peoples are in there.

The Tower Heist soundtrack released in first of November. It consist 22 different tracks and it’s about 40 minutes long. Varese Sarabande has created this soundtrack.

Friends with Benefits

Friends with Benefits is a comedy directed by Will Gluck. It’s premiere in Finland was in 30th September 2012 but in America it was already in 22nd July. The movie is all about comedy but the further it gets on it shows pinch by pinch more its romantic side. The cast is amazingly the best: Justin Timberlake as Dylan and Mila Kunis as Jamie. Jamie is a head-hunter (actually an executive recruiter) from New York and her job is to recruite Dylan, who’s an art director from Los Angeles. When they meet each other, Jamie takes over to adapt Dylan to New York City lifestyle.

Jamie and Dylan are in their thirties and are both singles and their love life hasn’t been prosperous. Jamie’s been often told that she’s emotionally damaged and Dylan was told by his ex-girlfriend that he’s emotionally unavailable. At the beginning they just laugh about it and start hanging around together. One night after they watched a movie and hung out, they came up with an idea that they could have sex together without any emotions or commitments and no stings attached. At first it was awkward but soon they dealt with it just fine. For a while everything went ok but soon they both note that they are having feelings to each other. Both start having some doubts about their situation. And at some point Jamie starts seeing other guys and they won’t be anymore friends with benefits, just friends. At the end everything however turns ok and they confess their feelings to each other and everything’s smooth and easy and they have their happy ending.

Soundtrack of the movie were pretty good. Semisonics ”Closing time” plays in movie’s trailer but also in the movie. There’s also this scene where Dylan sings the song during the sex. Train’s ”Soulsister” appears also in the movie and is very matching. In the movie there’s a flashmob at Times Square and people dance in time the ”New York, New York” by Ray Quinn and Ultra Love. One mentionable song is Kriss Kross’s ”Jump”. It’s hilarious song from the ’90 and in the movie it’s Dylan’s favorite song from his childhood.

About the camerawork, there’s not much to say. Nowadays there’s pretty decent cameraplay and the quality is very high. You can’t see any microphones nor assistents. The view angle doesn’t vary so much (except most sex scenes are shot from above the characters). The movie has few special effects but not much. Lots of extra people were used especially in the flash mob scenes.

I personally liked the movie. It’s very hilarious and Timberlake and Kunis are great partners, they matched well. The movie was pretty similar as No Stings Attached (2011) but still so different on my opinion. Friends with Benefits won’t maybe fit everyone because of it’s ”naive” plot but many male and female friend of mine have praised the film, and so do I.

Bridget Jones – Diary

Hello everyone! This is a blog post about my favorite move; Bridget Jones – Diary. The film is based on the book. It is written by Helen Fielding and it is published in 2001. Director of the film is Sharon Maguire who is close friend to Helen Fielding. Soundtrack of the film is ”Without you” which is written by Pete Ham and Tom Evans. Mostly the film is comedy but there is some drama in it and it is also very romantic. Leading actors of the film are Renée Zellweger who plays a main part Bridget Jones and Hugh Grant plays her boss in the film as Daniel Cleaver. Colin Firth also has a fairly large role as Mark Darcy. I will tell more about them later on.

The plot of the film is actually quite simple. Bridget is 30 years old frustrated office worker. On New Year’s Eve she decides to change her life. She wants to lose weight quit smoking and alcohol and mostly find a good man. Starting that by keeping a diary which she will always tell the complete truth. But then she starts to flirt with her boss Mark and things go wrong many time. Mark Darcy is Bridget’s parents friend who has a crush on Bridget. But how everything will work out in the end? You will find out that by reading the book or watching the movie!

I have seen this film many times and read the book. I absolutely love the film! And the book is also brilliant! My favorite part is the end because it is so lovely. During the film there are many feelings. It makes me laugh and sometimes almost cry but mostly of the time it makes me really happy. I would recommend this more for women but why not for men too! It was so easy for me to follow the film without subtitles because I almost remember the film inside out.

Hilarious movie moments for everyone! =)

The Blues Brothers – The movie review

The Blues Brothers is a classic action-comedy film filled with music and famous musicians. It was released in 20th of June in 1980 by Universal Studios. The films budget was 30 million American dollars. The film has been released on VHS, DVD and Blu-Ray. There are two versions of the film: theatrical cut and an extended version.

The characters in the film are very memorable and their actors are very fitting to their respective roles. John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd are the actors of the main characters Jake and Elwood Blues. Their band called The Blues Brothers has 10 members. The other members include Steve Cropper, Donald Dunn, Murphy Dunne, Willie Hall, Tom Malone, Lou Marini, Matt Murphy and Alan Rubin. They appear in the movie with their real names. Most of the smaller roles are police officers and other authorities. The movie also features famous musicians such as Aretha Franklin, James Brown and Ray Charles.

The plot of the movie is simple yet it features some twists. The movie starts with Jake coming to pick Elwood up from prison, where he stayed for three years for armed robbery. They then go to visit their childhood home which is a Roman Catholic orphanage. They find out that they need to collect 5000 dollars in order to save the orphanage from being closed. The brothers then visit a baptist church and Elwood gets an idea to get the needed money by reforming the band they used to to have – The Blues Brothers. After the brothers have started to gather the band back together, they start to encounter all kinds of problems, for example, some of the members now have jobs with good salaries and because of that, they are a bit curious, whether or not they should quit their jobs and join the band. Despite the hardships, they manage to get the band back to the original composition. After that, they start trying to get a gig at a larger consert than before.

I think the movie is very good. It is made nicely from pretty much every aspect. I recommend the movie for everyone who like films with a lot of music but people who just want to watch a comedy film might also enjoy it.
