The Hunger Games is a novel written by Suzanne Collins. It was published in 2008 and it has sold millions of copies. There is also movie based on the novel. I had read the Hunger Games before, but I decided to read it again because it`s one of my favorite books. The Hunger Games is a dystopian novel, the story is set in the future, after the destruction of North America. The new country is called Panem. There are 12 districts in Panem. They are ruled by the wealthy Capitol. As punishment for the districts rebellion many years earlier the Capitol holds an annual televised event called The Hunger Games. Each district choses one boy and one girl tribute to join the game, that only one can survive alive.
The story is about Katniss Everdeen a sixteen year girl from district 12, the poorest of them all. She volunteers to take her sister`s place in the game. The other tribute from district 12 is a boy named Peeta. Peeta’s selection doesn’t bode well for Katniss, who feels that she owes Peeta for saving her life when they were children, which is inconvenient considering she’s now expected to kill him in the Hunger Games. The storyline focuses on their journey to the games and how will they survive there. It´s nice to see how their relationship evolves.
The book is captivating. It keeps you on your toes from the beginning to the end. The writer Suzanne Collins has created a really believable world. There is lots of violence in the book, because it`s about a brutal game where the tributes fight to death and only one can survive. The atmosphere is dramatic, there is life and dead situations going on all the time. There is also a love triangle in the book but storyline doesn´t focus on that so much which I liked.
The main topics that the book deals with are poverty, totalitarianism and the gap between rich and poor. Serious issues. It also deals with many rights and wrongs and human nature (how horrible can it be). Even though it is fiction book, it raises some question. Could country like Panem really exist? How far will reality television go? I would recommend this book to everybody especially if you like dystopian novels. The book is easy to read and it has lots of action.

The Monsters University
In this article I´ll be reviewing The Monsters University. It’s an animated film produced by Pixar Movie Studio. I decided to watch this film because it is a prequel to Monster Inc. , a film that I loved when I was kid. I thought it would be fun to see how much I would like this new film since I have grown older after seeing the first film. It tells a story about relationship between two monsters- one-eyed Mike and blue furred Sullivan. They both study in college to become scarers (monsters who enter the human world at night to scare children so their screams can be harvested for energy). First they can`t stand each other. Mike studies hard and Sullivan-who comes from famous family of scarers-is lazy and is relying only to his natural talent and starts to fail. They both get expelled out of the school because of one incident. They have to work together to get back to school and after many bends they become best friends. The plot is well written, funny and the characters are adorable. First of all The Monsters University is warm hearted story about friendship and believing in your dreams. I liked the way they showed the chemistry developing between Mike and Sully. You can actually feel it, and even though its animation, it feels real .The combination of college and monster word is also really hilarious. Animation is amazing as expected from Pixar and voice actors do a great job. There are lots of references to Monster Inc. that will make you smile. I think The Monsters University is a film that makes both adults and kids laugh. If you liked the first one you will totally love this one too.
