I have been watched movie that is based on actual events. Movie is called Hachiko – a dog’s story. Tale of the film focus on trust, devotion and undying love between the dog and human. Real Hachiko lived in Japan and the story of that is most like this movie.
The story is about puppy that was sent from Japan to America. For some reason the dog remained at the train station in America. The leading actor professor Parker Wilson (Richard Gere) found that lonely Akita breed puppy and took the dog to Parker’s home. A few days later Parker and his wife decide to keep the dog and named it by Hachiko.
Every morning when Parker was going to work by train, Hachiko followed him at the station. Afternoon when Parker came from work at five o’clock Hachiko was sitting on the same place and waiting him every time. That happened for years. But one day Parker got heart attack and he died. Still Hachiko waited him every afternoon 5 pm. The dog became old and nine years later Hachiko died at train station while waiting Parker.
This touching movie is kind of simple picture of love and losing someone important. There is no music in the movie except in the end and plot focus on Parkers family and the dog.
There is also no happy ending. The story about Hachiko and Parker is sad, because both of them dies. But I think the film doesn’t need good end. This kind of film is perfect just the way it is. Beautiful and based on actual events film. I truly liked the film because I think the story is so good example of deep friendship. I was honestly speechless of it. I have to watch it again!
