I red Raymond Carvers wrote short story, Why Honey? It tells about mother and son who live together without father. Mother started suppose, that all what her son tells her is lie. For example, when mother found bloody shirt in her son’s car she thought, that son has killed someone. The truth was that son has a bad nasal bleeding and he used the shirt to shut up the spillover.

 
If I was the son, I would get upset of mothers accusations, because I would feel that mother don’t trust me at all. Some of the accusations of mother reasons are a little far-fetched, for example in the same nasal bleeding case. Who mother thinks first in that kind of situation that own son has murdered someone or something else horrible? Doesn’t usually start to find realistic explanations for what happened? In short story mother told son’s makings in sinister tone. Why on earth? Who wants to put their own child into the notorious light? I think that just only crazies and paranoids.

 
In the final paragraph the narrator told, how she wanted someone to know all the happened things. She told that she is very ashamed. She also told that she wanted to know how someone got her name and knew where to write. The narrator had been praying that no one knows. In my opinion the final paragraph is the most unclear to understand. I think that the narrator afraid the person who got the narrators name and address where to write. I think that the person could be the narrators son, but why she afraid her own son?
I like this short story because in my opinion it is quite strange and different than other what I had read. The story gives the reader the opportunity to imagine happenings and everyone will be able to create a story their own imaginations.

I read Graham Greene’s short story, A shocking accident. A shocking accident is about boy whose name is Jerome. Jerome is in School when the story begins and the school’s headmaster, Mr Wordsworth tells Jerome that his father had died yesterday in Naples because they kept their pigs on their balconies and the big had grown too fat and the balcony broke and the pig fell on Jerome’s father.

Jerome grows in story and in the end end his an adult. In the story Jerome thinks how to tell people how his father died so that people wouldn’t laugh. Jerome has two ways: just saying that his father got killed by a pig or telling really long story about it.

In some point of the story Jerome become engaged to a girl called sally. He didn’t want to tell Sally how his father died and that’s why he avoided to visiting his aunt who always talked about Jerome’s father. Week before wedding they visited Jerome’s aunt. Aunt started to tell about Jerome’s father. Sally didn’t laugh and Jerome was really happy about that.

In the end of the  story Sally asks what happened to the pig and Jerome says that they almost certainly had it for dinner. I think that Sally asked about pig because the atmosphere is tense and she wanted to lighten it.

Jerome’s character really grows in story, he understands that his father was not god but he was an ordinary man. Jerome also learns to love Sally more because she didn’t laugh. And also he accepted his father’s death.

What I think that happened to pig? I think that it didn’t die because it was so fat. The pig the ran away and someone else founded pig and put it on their balcony. That is how pig continued killing people until it died and got eaten.

Character analysis:

This Novel tells about mom who is like any other mom and believes that she`s son is ”a good boy” like she says in novel. The son in about 14 years old. Mom starts been  suspicious when she`s son starts to hide things and keep secrets. The sons secrets start been more and more unreliable.

text analysis:

text is short story. There is couple of persons and the biggest role is for mother and her son another roles are fot examble Mrs and Mr Cooper. The novel theme is family-relationship and confidence. Because the text is so short there is very little any decpiction. teller in the novel is mother. The novel is a letter whom mom is write to some sir and the letter she tells about her son. in the letter mom tells to his son many different and mysterious events.The writers style is to make the story perplexing and leaves some things to the raeder`s imagination. Some reader`s can think it good that you can make little bit your own conclusin but I think that sometimes it annoying. Not every detail is mentioned in the events and some points on the story it little unclear. The mother also pretens the information in a way that makes it seem sinister. After reading the story the reader is puzzled, not knowing whether the son is guilty or innocent. When reading the story, certain images pop up into your head, from the writer describing the event.

Novel is a letter and it`s tell about a boy and his mother. story is little bit unclear but still quite interesting. after reading story you have to think is the boy guilty or not. In this story you have to use your imagination.
